April A day in the life of a locksmith - MTS Locksmiths

It’s always nice when a customer offers you a cup of coffee, it’s a bonus when also bring cake!!

This is some of my jobs, I’ve been up to since my last blog

I attended attempted break-in, luckily the owner was in and disturbed the burglars and they fled.

As you can see in the photo they broke the handle and snapped the lock. They also tried to blow torch the lock.

This is why you should fit anti snap locks. If you want further info on anti snap locks, look on my website or ring me for further information.

This is the same door, with the photo taken from the inside.

I fitted new handles and a Ultion 3* Anti Snap lock.

The property is now secure and the owner is happy that his property is more secure.

Another common fault is when the mechanism fails on a UPVC door. In this case, the door was in the locked position. First I had to gain access and open the door.

Both the Mechanism and the hooks had failed I had to replace the whole locking system. I fitted a temporary lock and returned the next day to fit the lock.

If I have to return to complete a job, I don’t charge another hourly rate.
